week 1 term 4 reflection

This week was our first week back at school we had an eventful week with having our athletics.

This week for maths we have been working on fractions and percentages and working out bar graphs. We did a lot of work around this and I learnt so much.

We got taught a shortcut around finding out 10% and now it is really easy to find out 10% now.

For writing this week we have been focusing on reports we have to write a report about a planet in our solar system and I have chosen to do Neptune as my planet.

For topic this week we are learning about space and that is why we are also writing about a planet. For topic we have a bunch of activities we need to complete in the time given.

On Thursday we had athletics down at ANZAC park we had to do shot put,discus,long jump,high jump,80m,100m sprints and in these activities we could qualify to go to Grey District Athletics (which is our district).I qualified to go to them in shot put and my discus throws  and I was really close in my long jump.

Weekly reflection Wk1

In maths I have made a D.L.O about the circumference of a circle. Since we have not yet learnt a new math skill I just did one that I learn't last term.I now know how to do the circumference of a circle and I know how to do it really quickly and I find it really easy to do now. Here is my D.L.O. 




For reading this week I have been doing journal work. For journal work we have to read a story out of the book and then we have to answer the questions that we have to do which relate to the story I have done 3 out of the 4 story's and the activities.   


For topic this week we have started a new topic and it is about Vincent Van Gogh we have got a google site with information about his painting and information about him. I have not done any activities but I will do them and later on in the term we are going to do some painting from Vincent van gogh and I can't wait to do the painting.
Here is one of his paintings called Starry Night.

For book character day today we came dressed as our favorite book character and I was Greg off diary of a wimpy kid this is the book I was.

This book is about a boy called tom gates and he has the best book day ever and he wanted to go as an alien scale monster and he does but will he is at school some of is scales came of and the pajamas under neath are yellow fluffy kittens and all his scales full off but he fall into some mud and he looks like an alien mud monster and then he got a book voucher.

I know that this book is humor because it is so funny and I couldn't stop laughing.
