Our New Zealand 9MG


Last term we were focusing on identity and who we are.One of our task was to see where our food comes from that we eat in our community. Here is my map I did to show where they were.

This term we are focusing on expressing ourselves through art one thing that we have done is research some of New Zealanders artwork and why they did it and what we thought it meant here is what I did.

Weekly reflection wk2 t2

This week was book week at school.
All through the week we had different activities around the school and on the grey main reading blog.Everyday we had logos and who is reading the book and we had to guess what they are and when we are finished at the end of the week we go to the library and give in our answers and what class gets them all right will win a prize.On Wednesday we had wacky Wednesday and we got to go to school with our school uniform on but with something added to it.On Friday it was book character day and we got to dress up as our favourite book character I dressed up as goffy and my other to friends that I did it with was Micky and Minnie.

For maths we got back into our group work and all class teaching.For maths my group has been learning what is the difference between times say 10:43-12:32 what is the difference.

For reading we have been doing journal studies we have to complete 5 activities and read 5 story's .

Reflection wk2 Term 4



For our novel we are reading The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and when we finish the book we are going to watch the movie. Here is my Chapter 6 questions and answers.

For our calendar art we got to chose what we did. Our choices were Day of the Dead Mexican Folk Art or Aboriginal  art. I chose to do Aboriginal art here is what mine is meant to look like.

We have also been writing about sleep. I have only done my introduction and my first paragraph. Here is what I have done so far.
Sleeping is a condition of body and mind which typically recurs for several hours every night in which the nervous system is inactive the eyes closed the postural muscles relaxed and consciousness practically suspended.We all need sleep because if we don’t it could result in hallucination and eventually it will not be good for the brain and it will be impossible for the brain to give directions. No matter where we are we still need the same amount of sleep as the same age child in London.

We sleep because if we don’t get the right amount of sleep we won’t be able to grow because most of our growing will happen in our sleep. If you don’t get enough sleep we might feel hungry and you will just want more food. A newborn baby needs between 14-17 hours of sleep but an adult at the age of 65 years old only needs 7-8 hours what is the reason for this well it is because we need time to grow so a newborn baby needs to grow but with the adult at 65 years they don’t need to grow as they have already done their growing as they were younger.
